There’s just something special about an easel card! I taught this one in class yesterday, and it was a hit.

Easel cards are one of my favorite fun-fold designs because they look impressive but are surprisingly easy to make. When folded flat, this one looks like a traditional greeting card, with that beautiful sunflower Designer Series Paper taking center stage. But open it up and the card becomes its own little display piece!

That’s one of the things I love about this style of card. Instead of being tucked away after it’s opened, an easel card can sit on a desk, shelf, or mantel and continue to brighten someone’s day.

The sunflower paper really does most of the work on this design, so I kept the embellishments simple. A few dimensional sunflower accents and the stamped leaves add just enough detail without competing with that gorgeous paper.

I’ve put together a downloadable tutorial with the measurements and instructions so you can make this easel card yourself. DOWNLOAD THE TUTORIAL

And if you love the products I used, they’ll be available to purchase through my website beginning September 1. I’ll add links here as soon as they’re available.

I hope this inspires you to try an easel card of your own. They’re fun to make, fun to give, and even more fun to display!

Happy Stampin’!
